Support Staff
Starla came to the clinic in 1976 as a kennel attendant
for the clinic's original owner, Dr. Lien. She graduated from Pierce
College as a Veterinary Technician. After 25 years at the clinic, she
has filled almost every role except doctor. Today she is the head
receptionist, a licensed veterinary technician, and our office manager.
She simply does it all and does it all well. She has two children and a
beloved pot bellied pig named Edward. Starla has the dubious
distinction of having more pets than any other staff member - 11 all
together.

rollerblading at Alki or Myrtle Edwards Park. Erin lives with a cat by the name of
Blackbeard who is quite the snuggler and enjoys having his teeth brushed! |

Heather also joined our staff after volunteering at the
clinic on weekends. She graduated in 1997 with a degree in Graphic Arts

change to veterinary medicine. She brought with her abundant positive
energy and great communication skills. She has two young children, who have been occupying most of her time. When
not spending time with her kids, Heather enjoys swimming, hiking,
mountain biking with her husband Art, and spending time with her two
