Lien Animal Clinic has always had resident clinic cats which live,
work and play in the clinic. During the day the clinic cats have free
run of the hospital. It takes a special cat to live in a veterinary
hospital. He or she must be friendly and enjoy the company of many
other animals. In addition to being our pets, the clinic cats periodically
donate blood for some of our most critically ill patients. Each of
our clinic cats has helped save the lives of other felines. |

Flower
- Flower was left on our doorstep on a cold December night in 2003.
She quickly worked her way into all our hearts, and currently spends
much of her time sitting on the reception desk waiting for attention.
Flower loves treats and will give you a high-five to get one. |

Miss
B. - In the summer of 2007, Miss B, or Beverly as she is also
called, was introduced to us by King County Animal Control. Miss B
was originally brought to our clinic to have surgery done to repair
her eyelids so that she could be placed in adoption. During her stay
with us she won the hearts of all the staff and was promptly adopted
by our clinic. Beverly also has a special blood type (Type B), which
makes her perfect as a blood donor for our patients needing Type B
blood. You can meet Beverly any day in the waiting room where she
wanders waiting for people to pet her. |

Peggy
- Peggy, our newest clinic cat, also came to us from Animal Control.
She was picked up as a stray with a broken leg and chest trauma. She
was treated at 5 Corner’s Emergency Clinic and had a splint placed
on her broken front leg. When her leg failed to heal properly, she
came to us to have the leg amputated and we grew too attached to her
to let her go back to Animal Control. Despite having only three legs,
Peggy gets around very well and has no problem jumping up on furniture.
Peggy adapted very quickly to life as a clinic cat and loves to sleep
on the doctors’ chairs in the back office. |
